He was very professional and clearly explained my options and the process for determining if data could be recovered from my Sold State Drive and roughly how the recovery is done. I was told that although the work is done in the company’s Toronto lab, the company is based in the United States and therefore all pricing is in US$. While I won’t say what the work cost me, because each situation is different, the quoted estimate did come as a bit of a shock, but when considering the years of work represented in the files potentially lost, it was easy to justify. I should also say that I originally took my computer to London Drugs to assess a different problem, and they discovered the SSD did not work and were unable to recover any data. So, if you’ve been told data can’t be recovered, give Secure Data Recovery a try, it doesn’t cost anything to have it evaluated.
