While re-organizing my home, I had accidently dropped my external hard drive on concrete floor and I knew this is going to be disastrous. This hard drive included all my daughter''s life (birth photos and videos up until teenager), my personal and important documents. I did not give up my hope and continued my research and talking with family & friends for referrals. Finally, I found Secure Data Recovery and connected with Eric Fisher (my Angel!) who helped me with my request and walked me through the entire process. Eric listened to my tragedy, sympathized with my situation, and provided support all along the way. Even though my hard drive was not a 100% recovered, I am happy with at least what could be recovered. The team at Secure data recovery was able to successfully recover files from my damaged WD hard drive. The team diagnosed the issues as corrupted service area modules, requiring manual work to address. Communication with the data recovery specialist was frequent, clear, and he took time to go over my questions and concerns. I did have sticker shock at the price quoted to complete the work. When I dropped off the hard drive at the retail location to be shipped to the lab, the associate estimated the cost to be around $500. The quote I received from Secure Data Recovery was over $2,000! Because I wasn''t in a rush for the files, they were able to bring the price down, however, their prices are quoted in USD even though the work to my hard drive was being done in Toronto. Overall, customer service was excellent!
