I must admit that I didnÔøΩt hold much hope for the data on the hard drive. I had just verified with the user that it was OK to format the drive and erase all the data to install a new operating system. I authorized the ÔøΩrawÔøΩ recovery process. The user would have to look at the files and then rename them from a ÔøΩnumber.extÔøΩ format to ÔøΩname.extÔøΩ. Apparently the ÔøΩrawÔøΩ recovery process included the correct extension name.Several days later I got an email indicating that the recovery had been completed and they would ship me the recovered data. Several days after that I received a package via courier. I took a solid state hard drive (already equipped with a USB cable) out of the box and plugged it into a computer.As near as I could make out they managed to recover everything.
