I reached out to Scott McMacken after my phone died and I was not able to recover data that had tremendous sentimental value. Scott walked me through all the different options and was there every step of the way whenever I had questions. The process was speedy and within the timeline I was provided, my data had been recovered and shipped back to me. I had a 4TB external drive full of data stop working due to being knocked off my desk onto the floor. Sent an message to Secure Data Recovery Services on their inquiry page and was quickly responded to by Kyle. Arranged to have the drive sent to them for evaluation and they got back to me quickly after. They indicated most of the data can be recovered and quoted a price. For those not familiar to data recovery services, it is not cheap. Kyle was able to lower the price a bit if I was not in a rush to get the data back. As the data was important but not mission critical, I opted to wait longer for the lower fee. Once they recovered the data, a file was provided showing what was recovered and not recovered. I estimate a fraction of a percent of the data was unrecoverable which is better than I expected. Although I knew better, I didn''t have backups so expensive lesson learned. And also, make sure external hard drives are placed in safe secure locations. Although they were excellent in recovering my data, I hope to never need their services again ;)

After searching for hours, this is the only service that allowed the recovery of the data contained in a corrupted password-protected Excel XLSX file. Despite having the password, no one else was able to recover a single cell. We had to contact them because for some reason, the online version recovered only 1 out of 2 sheets, while the software version worked fine (the bug is probably already fixed by now). They quickly replied and offered to correctly recover the file at no extra charge and they did that very fast as well! I am fully satisfied with their service and intend to do business again with them whenever needed!
